I’m Arilin Thorferra, an author of furry fiction. My work always involves furries (anthropomorphic animals), nearly always involves giant furries, and often involves romance, adventure, and sublimated—or explicit—kinks. My work’s supported through my Patreon and book/ebook sales.

☞ I’ve written several dozen short stories ranging from science fiction to horror to comedy, with some recurring characters and settings running through them.

☞ I’ve also written several serials, ranging from related vignettes to full-fledged novels.

☞ And, I've written the occasional non-fiction article. (Which is to say, I have a blog.)

May 2025: The Mus Numena Patreon serial continues! I’m posting roughly 2,000 words a week. This month, the action gets steadily more romantic—and steadily more explosive…

I’ve been serializing “Gates” to my FA gallery, although as of this writing FA is still in read-only mode. Remember, it’s always easier to read my stuff here—and if you’re on Bluesky or Mastodon, you can leave comments there by linking to the story page, or replying, favoriting, or boosting a post that has a link to it! (You can see this on some of my more recent stories and blog posts.)

My tentative future project list remains the same as it did last month:

  • A new, longer Mensura piece
  • An original Korps Universe story
  • Something horrible for Halloween, as is tradition

Outside of my writing here, I just started a contract position that’s going to keep me busy during workdays, so I’m still figuring out how to balance that with the writing I want to do for the Patreon—and stuff that’s “outside” the Patreon is getting a little short shrift right now. I’m sure I’ll figure out that balance, but the Patreon is definitely the best way to keep up with new stuff.

I’m also working on a new furry novel review, although I’m running behind. I’ll do my best to get one out in May!
